Somehow with a name like "akuma" that doesn't surprise me at all. That makes it even more dangerous though doesn't it? When you're taking people and emotions it's a lot more unpredictable than people with just their own two hands. It sounds like a lot to handle for just the two of you.
[Granted he tried to take on the masked man by himself once upon a time, so he's not really a great source of what is and isn't doable.]

i'm pretty sure ladybug could handle it all on her own if she wanted to, which means we don't have a lot of trouble with a two person team (most of the time, anyway)

I think that sounds like a fair trade, even if I'm pretty sure one origin story will be a little more interesting than the other. I just hope it doesn't disappoint you.
